O’Lentil Dahl   (Curried)


Amount 2 persons


  • 150g  O’Lentil “Slice& Dice” cut into pieces 20mm
  • 50g sliced onion
  • 50g dice potatoes
  • 15g red lentils
  • 10g chopped green chilli( check child for heat and vary amount accordingly)
  • 20g roasted Indian spices (mild curry powder)
  • 20g fresh garlic
  • 500g vegetable stock
  • Seasoning
  • 20g sunflower oil
  • 5g white mustard seeds
  • 10g fresh curry leaf or coriander chopped
  • 20 g mango chutney


Pan fry onion and garlic in oil add curry powder and mustard seed and fry well

Add stock, potatoes and lentils and cook for 20 minutes until and soft.

Add O’Lentil and cook until thick 10 minutes.  Season with care

At the last minute add the curry leaf and mango chutney.  Stir well and serve

To Serve 

Served this curry hot with braised rice

Points to Watch

This curry is best served thick and chunky

O’Lentil is pre cooked, prolonged cooking is not required
